1. Definitions
“We”, “Us”, “Our” refers to Piano Logistics Transport, acting as a booking agent and coordinator for piano removals and deliveries.
“Customer”, “You”, “Your” refers to the person or company booking a piano removal or delivery service.
“Contractor” refers to the independent removal specialist or company assigned by us to carry out the collection, transportation, and delivery of your piano.
2. Our Role
Piano Logistics Transport operates as a coordinator and introducer between customers and independent piano-removal contractors.
We do not provide removal or transport services directly. The actual collection, handling, and delivery are performed by independent contractors from our trusted partner network.
Your service agreement is ultimately between you and the appointed contractor, who will confirm all arrangements and accept payment directly from you.
3. Booking Process
When you submit a booking request, we will match your job with a suitable, vetted contractor.
You will receive confirmation once the contractor has accepted the job.
Any quotation provided by Piano Logistics Transport is based on the information you supply (access, stairs, piano type, location, etc.). Inaccurate or incomplete details may result in additional charges, which are at the contractor’s discretion.
4. Payments
All payments are made directly to the contractor, not to Piano Logistics Transport.
Full payment must be made at least 48 hours before collection or delivery.
Failure to make payment within this timeframe may result in cancellation or rescheduling of the booking.
We do not handle customer funds or process payments on behalf of contractors.
5. Subcontracting and Liability
All removal services are performed by independent contractors who operate under their own insurance and company policies.
Each contractor carries insurance cover up to £40,000 for loss or damage, subject to their individual terms and exclusions.
Contractors are solely liable for the handling, transport, and condition of the piano or any other item in their care.
Piano Logistics Transport accepts no liability for loss, damage, or delay once a contractor has been assigned and engaged.
6. Insurance and Claims
Contractors’ insurance policies typically cover accidental damage, loss, or theft during transit up to £40,000.
Claims must be made directly to the contractor in writing within 48 hours of delivery.
Customers should inspect items upon delivery and immediately report any visible damage.
Piano Logistics Transport does not process claims or handle insurance matters on behalf of contractors.
7. Customer Responsibilities
You agree to:
– Provide accurate information about access, stairs, parking, and piano dimensions.
– Ensure suitable access for removal vehicles and safe working conditions.
– Be present (or represented) at both collection and delivery addresses.
– Securely prepare and protect the piano, unless the contractor has been engaged to provide packing services.
Failure to disclose relevant access information may result in additional charges or delays.
8. Cancellations and Postponements
If you wish to cancel or postpone:
– You must provide at least 48 hours’ notice to avoid charges.
– Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled service may incur a contractor’s cancellation fee to cover lost time and resources.
– All refunds (if applicable) are handled directly by the contractor.
9. Delays and Force Majeure
Neither Piano Logistics Transport nor its contractors shall be held liable for delays or failure to perform services due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to: severe weather, traffic conditions, mechanical failure, strikes, or acts of God.
10. Data Protection
We respect your privacy and comply with the UK GDPR.
Your contact and job details are shared only with the assigned contractor for the purpose of completing your removal.
We do not sell, share, or distribute personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes arising from them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
